Depending on who you ask... Britt & I met at work. Well, to be honest, we met before work at my interview (clearly, I impressed). Yep, she interviewed me for the job with CBORD. So to get it out of the way, yes, I ignored the only piece of advice my dad ever gave me regarding my career: Don't date your co-workers. It's bad for business. However back in not-so-sunny Ithaca, NY, during my first year at CBORD, with Brittany as my manager, we developed a wonderful friendship. Meanwhile, the rumor mill at the office was in full swing, predicting our relationship before it began (obviously, it was destined to be). Eventually, that friendship grew so naturally into a relationship, it's hard to say when we stopped "hanging out" as friends and started dating. We attribute Nov 19th, '06 as the first acknowledged date, though in truth, we'd probably been dating, unawares, for at least a month. To make the date that much more memorable, Brittany ended her 15 year run as a vegetarian while we dined on some very disappointing steaks at a very reputable establishment. Ah well, you can't win them all. So anyway, those of you who know me best (or at all) may know that I was slightly averse to the idea of marriage. However, as our relationship progressed, I realized that I wasn't quite so averse as I thought. But, when it came time to pop the big question... well, I suppose I wasn't exactly at the top of my game. The 'conversation' went something like... Tim: "If I were to ask you to marry me, what would you say?" ...and that was that. Poor Britt never got a real proposal, but that was good enough to start the wedding planning stage, which she jumped into head first. And so we have arrived here, with this website as the culmination of our efforts to let the world know that we love each other and are very excited about our future together. |

Tim grew up in North East, PA (that's a town, not a direction) near the oft icy shores of Lake Erie. After high school, he saw fit to attend Mercyhurst College for his Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems. After working for a year as a network admin, Tim decided to take it to the next level and moved to Pittsburgh to obtain his Masters in Telecommunications from Pitt. His job search led him to Ithaca, NY where he met his soon to be wife, Brittany. Tim now resides in Pittsburgh, traveling the country for his job, eagerly awaiting the day when Brittany joins him.
Brittany
grew up in Arlington, Texas spending most of her time reading and
playing various competitive sports. She yearned to broaden her
horizons and went to bording school in Suffield, CT for high school.
Staying in the North East (direction, not town) she got her Bachelor's
from Cornell University, Business Management and Applied Economics.
Deciding to stay in Ithaca, she explored her career path at
